Featuring two convertible tops crafted from deadstock fabrics, “4ever” was ethically made in Los Angeles as an homage to coastal Southern California and an inauguration of Stars4ever as a social enterprise.
As a social enterprise, Stars4ever will refocus on its mission socially, environmentally, and creatively to truly empower young women in wearing their values. Stars4ever will design products that equal impact, targeting the four largest issues in the fashion industry: mental wellness, health, excessive waste, and the exploitation of female garment workers. Combining the corporate nonprofit sectors, I have revamped Stars4ever, building community benefit into the novel business structure. Stars4ever is now as much of a clothing label as a platform for advocacy.
“4ever” is the first of the many newly innovated Core Stars4ever collections. After encountering the overwhelming deadstock fabrics leftover in warehouses such as the 2 stories, over 74,000 square feet Ragfinders in LA, I decided to solidify these convertible tops as the signature design patterns of Stars4ever. From now on, pieces in each new collection will have the same silhouettes, but with different deadstock fabrics inspired by all parts of life, creating designs with infinite ways to wear.
From tank top to bralette, tube top, to skirt, and from long sleeves to short sleeves, “4ever” is the beginning of a harmony between newness and durability.
XO,
AY
